Demonstrations In Egypt In Video

Late on Tuesday, with protesters still gathered in Cairo’s Tahrir Square after dark, some of those restrictions seem to have lapsed. Gigi Ibrahim, an Egyptian-American blogger and activist whose stream of regular Twitter updates and mobile phone photographs showing the protests in Cairo came to an abrupt halt in midafternoon, posted a new note late on Tuesday January 25, 2011 :
OMG Twitter is back!! Thank god ! The situation in Tahrir is beyond amazing everyone should head there #jan25
Video uploaded on Tuesday night appeared to show protesters in  Tahrir Square.

Video posted on YouTube after nightfall appeared to show a large mass of chanting protesters in Tahrir Square, where the independent newspaper Al-Masry al-Youm reported that about 15,000 people had gathered.

At about 8 p.m. local time, a live blog on the Web site of Ahram Online, a state-owned newspaper, reported: “An uneasy calm prevails in Tahrir Square as both security forces and protesters hold their positions. Ahram Online reporter says that protesters are now sitting down in the square discussing whether or not to continue the protest through the night.”
The same Cairo square was packed with protesters earlier in the day, according to news reports and video posted on the MrPeopleNews YouTube channel, where more than 40 clips said to show demonstrations in several cities were uploaded on Tuesday January 25, 2011
